“God has already supplied the seed. Now, let us sow.”

The theology of hospitality

Hospitality as a Kingdom act

Our Father has entrusted something precious to us as women — a home, a family, a table, a season. Just as a farmer does not create the seed or make his harvest grow, we are not expected to produce the harvest on our own. He supplies the seed. He gives the increase. Then He invites us to take what He has placed in our hands and sow it faithfully.

Sometimes it looks like a pot of soup shared with a friend in desperate need of encouragement. Sometimes the meal that wasn't quite what we planned or the house that wasn't completely tidy is exactly the offering God uses most. Hospitality was never meant to be a performance — it is an act of faith.

“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:10–11
